ok i haven't written anything for four days, so this might be a longer post.
The last entry ended with me going to bed, so the here it starts with the next day.
After a nice breakfast with Monica we went into Calgary. She showed me the Tower:
you have a fantastic view from there:
After that we went to a grocery store, where i bought some supplies for the bus ride. Later we went to a Drive in where you could get amazing Milkshakes and Poutine:
Being sated, Monica brought me to the Greyhound station after which she went to get Doug to go to the airport. It was 3pm and my bus didn't leave until 7pm so i sat there and wrote the last entry.
Getting on the bus i noticed, that they had wifi and outlets, yay :) We made our way through the rockies and stopped fairly in the middle. There i had the chance to take some photos:
In Vacouver i had a 3 hour layover that i spent in a Tim Horton's. The bus to the ferry only took about 30-45 minutes and the driver talked for almost half of it. Getting on the ferry, i got to know a german girl from Münster, who had done her bachelor thesis in vancouver and was now on vacation. We talked for the whole ferry ride, so it went over pretty quick:
Arriving in Nanaimo i met Tina, a friend of a nephew of Willards, that lives on the island. Because the Family was whale watching, she picked me up and took me to her apartment. There we watched Olympus falling and after that went for something to eat with Willards nephew. The nephew and his wife took me to her place, to wait for the family. I was really tired, because i didn't get any sleep on the bus, so i went to sleep on the sofa. After a while the family came and picked me up and we went to the condo:
I almost immediatly went to sleep when we arrived.
On the next day we went to Saltspring island. After a short ferry ride with the car we got to a small town. We found a nice store that sold a lot of very cool woodwork:
A little further down the road was a small hipster hippie greenie market with a lot of fairtrade stuff and all of that. There was a stand selling brownies under the name "mystic munchies". That was kind of suspicious, but hey.
We made our way back after that and got to costco. That is a wholesale store not unlike metro in germany. We found some fish there, that we would cook for dinner. From there we went to a liquor store and got some beer and then took all of it home. We had a nice dinner and then went to sleep after a while.
On the next day we set off for Nanaimo to visit the harbour. On the way there we saw a couple of deers just walking through a residential area:
Nanaimos waterfront was really nice:
There were a couple of crab fishers there and one of them caught a really big starfisch:
I saw a lot of Seaplanes carrying people to vancouver:
We ate a few appetizers there and then went back for walmart. There we bought something for dinner and looked for some shoes for me. On the way home we got into a big traffic jam that lasted an hour, so it took us a little while to get back. After a nice dinner we went for the Hottub outside and stayed there for half an hour. As we got back i pulled out my laptop and started writing this.
Now i will go to bed.

ich habe schon länger nichts mehr geschrieben, deswegen wird der artikel etwas länger.
Nach einem guten Frühstück sind Monica und ich Richtung Calgary aufgebrochen. Dort hat sie mir den Tower gezeigt:
Die Aussicht ist klasse:
Danach sind wir zu einem Supermarkt gefahren, damit ich ein paar Sachen für die Busfahrt hatte. Von da aus aus gings zu nem Drive in, dort haben wir dann den genialsten Milkshake ever und Poutine gegessen. Poutine ist Pommes mit Käse und Gravie:
Es war dann schon fast 3 Uhr und Monica musste Doug abholen um zum Flughafen zu fahren. Also hat sie mich am Greyhound terminal abgesetzt. Da der Bus aber erst um 7 Uhr abfuhr, habe ich mich hingesetzt und den letzten Blogeintrag geschrieben. Als ich dann in den Bus eingestiegen bin, hab ich direkt gesehen das er Wifi und Steckdosen hat, yay :) Der Bus ist durch die Rockies gefahren und hat ungefähr in der Mitte gehalten, wo ich dann ein paar coole Fotos machen konnte:
In Vancouver musste ich 3 Stunden auf den Folgebus warten und hab mich dafür in ein Tim Hortons gesetzt. Diese Busfahrt hat nur 30-45 Minuten gedauert, währenddessen der Busfahrer die ganze Zeit gelabert hat. an der Fähre angekommen mussten wir aus dem Bus raus und zu Fuss auf die Insel. Auf der Fähre hab ich eine Studentin aus Münster kennengelernt, die in Vancouver ihre Bachelor Arbeit geschrieben hat und jetzt Urlaub machen wollte. Wir haben die ganze Fahrt geredet, sodass wir schnell auf Vancouver Island waren:
In Nanaimo ( Vancouver Island) habe ich dann Tina getroffen. Sie ist eine Freundin eines Neffen von Willard. Da Willard und Co. Whalewatching gefahren sind, konnten sie mich nicht abholen und Willards Neffe hatte seinen Boss zu Besuch. Wir haben in Tinas Apartment dann einen Film geguckt und sind danach mit Willards Neffen was essen gegangen. Der Neffe und seine Frau haben mich danach mit zu ihnen genommen, wo wir auf Willard und Co gewartet haben. Nach einer Weile sind sie angekommen und wir sind zum Condo gefahren:
Ich bin fast sofort ins Bett gefallen als wir angekommen sind. Am nächsten Tag sind wir nach Saltspring island gefahren. Nach einer kurzen Fährenfahrt, sind wir mit dem Auto in ein kleines Städchen gekommen. Dort war ein coole Laden der Holzarbeiten verkauft hat:
Weiter die Straße runter war ein Hipster Hippie Öko Markt mit jeder Menge Fairtrade Zeugs und Organischer Pizza und so. Auf dem Rückweg sind wir zu Costco gefahren, was quasi wie Metro ist. Da haben wir Fisch und Salat für das Abendessen gekauft. Es gab Lachs, Garnelen und Muscheln und danach Bier.
Am nächsten Tag sind wir nach Nanaimo und dessen Hafen aufgebrochen. Auf dem Weg dahin liefen mehrere Rehe über die Strasse in einer Wohnsiedlung:
Der Hafen ist richtig klasse, es waren einige Krabbenfischer dort und einer von ihnen hat einen riesigen Seestern gefangen:
Am Hafen sind viele Wasserflugzeuge gestartet um Leute nach Vancouver zu bringen:
Nachdem wir ein paar Appetizers gegessen haben sind wir zu Walmart gefahren um was fürs Abendessen zu holen und nach Schuhen für mich zu gucken. Als wir wieder im Condo waren, sind wir zum Whirlpool gegangen und danach alle Müde ins Bett gefallen.
